West Asia Wushu Federation

West Asia Wushu Federation has been established on 2008 with aim to improve and develop Wushu in west part of Asia. On 2012, Dr. Mahdi Alinejad president of Iran Wushu federation has been reelected as a president of West Asia Wushu Federation for next four years. Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Palestine are member associations. Wushu in West Asia are improving very fast, from the WAWF established in 2008 we can feel this improvement. WAWF General Assembly makes sport calendar for next years and its confirmed Yemen host 3rd West Asia Wushu Championship in 2014. WAWF opened Wushu Academy in Tehran on 2009 and every year is hosting different training camps from national member associations, judges and coaches courses and competitions. After long negotiation with west Asia Games Federation and convince them about Wushu popularity, they promise to WAWF to add Wushu to next West Asian Games and most probably Wushu will be part of the event.
